Christina Aguilera is brightening up New York City in her swimsuit. The 42-year-old singer shows off her fantastic figure in a neon yellow swimsuit in one of her latest social media posts. "What's poppin NYC?!" she captained the series of Instagram snaps. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 7 ways Christina Aguilera stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

"I think we all have our good days and our bad days in how we feel about ourselves. Entering this business, I hated being super skinny. Once I turned 21, I started filling out a little bit, and I was loving my new curves. I appreciated having a booty," Christina told Health. "I've always said that women are way more interesting to look at than men! I have a hard time looking at the early pictures of myself because I remember feeling so insecure. I would never want to relive my 20s—you're so in your own head and finding your confidence. As you age, you stop comparing yourself to other people and start appreciating your own body and owning it."

Christina prioritizes her mental health. One of her practices? "I write a lot. Pen to paper has always been grounding and centering for me," she told Health. "Also, getting outside helps, even if it's just my backyard. Feeling grass under my feet and looking at trees and clouds helps."

Christina also maintains that yoga is good for her body and mind. "Yoga has also been instrumental in helping me," she told Health. Harvard Health maintains that yoga is a great workout. "Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood," they said. "People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating."

Another self-care ritual for Christina? "I love a beautiful hot bubble bath with all of my ingredients and oils! I really make it like a nourishing soup in there," she told Health. How can baths do your body and mind good? They have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

The singer also lifts weights. "Christina does biceps curls with 15-pound dumbbells and chest presses with 20-pounders," Tee Sorge, who trained Aguilera told Glamour. "She knows they're not going to bulk her up. What they will do is help build lean muscle that kicks up your metabolism and make your body burn more calories each day–so you'll lose weight faster."

According to Aguilera's trainer, she does 300 to 400 reps of various ab exercises per session. "Your core is your body's center, its foundation. If you're strong there, you're going to be strong and healthy, period," says Sorge.

Christina also does cardio intervals, says Sorge. "Christina slowly jogs for five minutes on flat ground, sprints for three to five minutes, and then does a slow uphill walk for the remainder of the workout. It's amazingly effective at making your body really lean."
